Punta del Este Tour
After tendering ashore, depart the pier for the approximate 45-minute sightseeing drive through Punta del Este. Along the way, see the Peninsula, Bravo Beach and the open-air collection of sculptures at the Square of the Americas. 'The Hand', a sculpture created in 1981 by Mario Yrarrázabal of Chile, has become a city icon. From here, drive through the residential areas San Rafael and Golf Park en route to the Beverly Hills District, home of the Ralli Museum of Contemporary Art.
Ralli Museum of Contemporary Art
This attractive, modern museum features a fine collection of paintings and sculptures by noted Latin American artists, along with works by European master, Dalí. Next, drive past Rincon del Indio neighbourhood, Indian Corner and stop for photos at La Barra de Maldonado, known for its hanging bridge, before continuing on to the Pablo Atchugarry Foundation.
Pablo Atchugarry Foundation
This non-profit institution promotes the arts, and features buildings housing an artist's workshop, three exhibition halls, an auditorium for concerts and lectures, and a permanent collection of works by the artist. All of these buildings are surrounded by the approximately 37-acre (about 15-hectare) Park of Sculptures, which features large works made from steel, concrete, wood, iron, and marble by Uruguayan and foreign artists.
Narbona Farm
Their dairy production stands out in the Uruguayan market, and their most recognized products are their variety of cheeses, Dulce de Leche, yoguty, jam and preserved food, among others. Recepies used during the years have created a well-defined identify over the years and generations. Refined taste can also be appreciated in their packaging, which reminds the best of past times. On this opportunity you will be able to try some of their best cheeses, as well as a glass of Narbona wines (red or white).
Following your visit, re-board your coach for the approximate 30-minute return drive to the pier.
