Excursion Pozos azules & sierra de las animas tour at Punta Del Este
Cruise line: SilverseaDifficulty:
We invite you to live a unique experience visiting the most important natural reserve in Uruguay's largest group of hills named "Sierra de las Animas". This area was once visited by the biologist Charles Darwin (1883) who described it as "something worthy of being painted".
The visit begins in Estancia Pozos Azules, a luxury Country House build in stone, wood and clay, with one of the best indigenous museums in the area. Then you will trek along the lake and climb up the hill to see the breathtaking "Pozos Azules", three crystal clear natural water wells in the middle of a native forest.
After the trekking you will rest and enjoy refreshments and a local "alfajor", a typical Uruguayan snack that resembles several round cookies usually stuffed with local "dulce de leche" (milk caramel) and covered with chocolate.
Return to the pier.
