Town of Izola

Enjoy your short 15 minutes drive to reach the charming town of Izola. You will have the chance to stroll around this beautiful Adriatic town. Izola is an old fishing town and its name originates from the Italian Isola which means "island". The town was established on a small island by refugees from Aquileia in the 7^th century.

Approximately one hour will be spent at Izola before again enjoying the countryside for the 45 minute drive to the Farmers Market.

Village of Padna, Farmer's Market, Tasting of Local specialties

The inner landscape is known for fruit and olive groves outside the village of Padna which features traditional architecture, historic churches, and a Farmer's market with traditional goods presenting you with the local food at its best. Enjoy tasting some of the local food items by using coupons that will be given to you.

The last leg of the journey will highlight the salt fields before arriving  back to Piran.

Please note: This tour involves a minimal to moderate amount of walking (1.5 km walking over cobblestone and uneven surfaces) and is not suitable for guests with limited mobility or those who utilise a wheelchair. We suggest wearing comfortable clothing and walking shoes as well as sun protection. Time permitting 45 minutes will be allocated for shopping. Guide will give guests 5 coupons in exchange of local delicacies. No interior visits are included on this tour. Guests must carry Euros for personal purchases (credit cards are not accepted) and their passport with them.
