Excursion Nha trang city orientation & cham towers tour at Nha Trang

Travel to see the impressive Cham Towers and catch a glimpse of the city and its well-known pagoda on this full-day, scenic drive and tour.

Departing the pier, a 75-minute drive takes you north of Nha Trang City to the site of the Po Nagar temple complex.

Po Nagar Cham Towers

Originally, there were eight of these magnificent towers standing on this granite hilltop overlooking the picturesque Nha Trang region. Today, only four remain. The towers were built between the 7th and 12th centuries and are reached via 70 sloping steps. Most visitors make the trip for the superb views from the top.

Long Son Pagoda

Heading back towards town, visit the best-known pagoda in Nha Trang. Note the ceramic tile and glass images of dragons decorating the roof and the entrance to the structure, as well as murals telling of local legends. Stairs to one side lead to a 30-foot (9.2-metre)-high white Buddha statue that can be seen from many parts of the city.

Continue with an orientation drive through the city and along its beautiful beachfront. A visit is made to an Truong Son craft Village workshop.

Continue for a buffet lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch take a 90-minutes driver to return to the port in Cam Ranh.

Please note: This tour requires a moderate amount of walking; however, the hilltop Cham Towers can only be accessed via 70 steps. It is not recommended for guests with limited mobility or those who utilise a wheelchair. Shoes must be removed for the interior temple visit. Wear slip-on shoes and bring a pair of socks for comfort. We recommend you bring your camera. Order of sights may vary.  Bring local currency for any purchases; US dollars and credit cards are accepted in many stores. Although English is very popular language in Vietnam, local Tour Guides tend to have a strong accent therefore we urge flexibility and understanding. The order of sites seen or visited may vary. The driving distance between the pier and Nha Trang is approximately 1.5 hours in each direction.
