Raspberry Point Oyster Co., Malpeque Oyster
Departing from the pier, settle into a mini-coach for a 60-minute guided scenic drive across Prince Edward Island’s picturesque central region en route to Raspberry Point Oyster Co.. Along the way, your guide highlights small fishing communities, coastal views, and the shellfish leases that define local life, including stories of the famed Malpeque oyster and traditional dory fishing with long wooden tongs. On arrival, dive into a hands-on 60-minute oyster experience with the venue’s experts. Learn how oysters are cultivated and graded, understand the concept of “merroir,” watch a professional shucking demonstration, and—if you wish—try shucking under expert guidance. The tasting caps the visit with some of the freshest oysters you’ll sample anywhere.
Downtown Charlottetown City Tour
Enjoy 15 minutes on site for photos before re-boarding for a 45-minute guided drive back toward the city. Your experience continues with a 30-minute Downtown Charlottetown city tour from the comfort of the coach, as your guide points out key landmarks and shares stories about the island’s capital and its role in Canadian history. A final short transfer returns you to the pier.
