Tiella Cooking Class

Upon arrival at the pizzeria, the owner, a recognized expert in Gaeta’s culinary traditions, will personally guide the cooking experience. Guests will be introduced to the art of making the Tiella di Gaeta, a savory pie unique to the region, typically filled with ingredients such as octopus, fresh vegetables, and local olives. The class begins with preparing and kneading the dough, followed by rolling, filling, and sealing each Tiella. Guests will learn the techniques and secrets that make this iconic dish a hallmark of Gaeta’s gastronomic heritage.

Once the Tiella is baked to perfection, guests will enjoy a leisurely sit-down lunch featuring their own creation, accompanied by a selection of local beverages. The experience offers not only a delicious meal but also an opportunity to savor the flavors and traditions that define the local cuisine.

At the conclusion of the class, guests will walk back to the pier, taking with them the recipe, their freshly prepared Tiella, and memories of an engaging and authentic culinary adventure in Gaeta.
