Excursion East coast of tahiti (tour & airport/ hotel transfer) tour at Papeete

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Discover the exquisite natural wonders and tropical landscapes along the east coast of Tahiti during this panoramic, half-day sightseeing excursion.

Papeete, East Coast Drive, Faarumai Waterfalls, Arahoho Blowhole, Black-Sand Beach, Geyser

Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 50-minute drive to the Faarumai Waterfalls. Located in the valley of Faarumai, see the beautiful waterfall which offers wonderful photo opportunities. Leaving the falls, re-board your coach and continue on to the Arahoho Blowhole. Perched along the rocky coast of Tahiti and bordered by an exquisite, black-sand beach, the Arahoho Blowhole is one of the island's most visited natural wonders. The right swell conditions produce a geyser-like fountain of water rising up through the blowhole; a spectacular sight to behold.

Pointe Venus & Taharaa Viewpoint

Next, re-board your coach and head to Pointe Venus. Situated in the north on the edge of Matavai Bay, it is famous for having been the site of successive landings of European navigators. Captain James Cook named the site 'Venus' in memory of his scientific trip to observe the planet. Your last stop is at the Taharaa Viewpoint. Upon arrival, take in spectacular panoramic views across to the east coast and all the way to Papeete, as well as the impressive silhouette of Moorea. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the short drive back to Papeete.

The tour concludes with a drop off at the Silversea Hotels in Papeete and at Papeete International Airport.
