Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Reykjavík, with about 120,000 inhabitants, is certainly among the smallest capital cities in the world. This sightseeing tour takes you on a journey to some of Reykjavík's most noteworthy sites.

Laugardalur valley

Your journey begins with a drive through Laugardalur valley where we pass the city's main sports and recreation area as well as one of many outdoor geothermal swimming pools before reaching one of Reykjavik´s most famous landmarks Perlan (the Pearl Museum).

The Pearl Museum

At Perlan, explore the world's first real indoor ice cave and learn about glaciers. Feel the forces of nature and learn about how Iceland was formed. Watch seabirds on a lifelike cliff and go on a cinematic underwater journey. Sit back in a first-class planetarium and enjoy a virtual journey around Iceland as the northern lights dance around you. Finally explore the panoramic views over Reykjavik from the observation deck built on top of the watertanks.

Hallgrímskirkja Church, Reykjavik Old Town

Next, head towards Hallgrímskirkja, the church that dominates the city skyline with its imposing tower. Onwards drive through the charming old quarters of Reykjavík with its colourful wooden houses and narrow streets passing the city pond, Tjörnin and the old harbour. From the old harbour, follow the coastline and make a short stop at Höfði house where the summit meeting between President Ronald Reagan and Secretary General Mikhail Gorbachev was held in 1986.

Your tour concludes at Keflavik International Airport
