Excursion Combarro and mussel farming tour at Vigo

During this half-day experience, learn about the mussel farming in the region.

Travel by bus to the little fishing village of Combarro and enjoy some free time to roam around the village. Following your time in town, board a catamaran to reach the "bateas" and learn about mussel farming, one of the cornerstones of local agriculture. They are, in fact, so popular that in October a special festivity is dedicated to it. See the ropes with the seafood seeds, learn about the process and of course taste freshly boiled mussels on you return to Combarro.

Please note: This tour requires a moderate amount of walking, at times over uneven ground and cobblestones and a few steps to negotiate. Walking at the Combarro is at the discretion of each guest. Lightweight, comfortable clothing, flat, closed-toe walking shoes and sun protection are recommended. The driving time from the pier to the town visited is approximately 45 to 60 minutes in each direction. Guests with seafood allergies should not participate in this tour, as the tasting includes only mussels and shrimps.
