Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately one-hour drive into downtown Lima, the 'City of the Kings'. Upon arrival, proceed for a panoramic sightseeing tour of San Martin Square, then drive to the Main Square. Upon arrival, take in spectacular panoramic views of the Government Palace, City Hall, Cathedral and Archbishop's Palace.
Casa Aliaga, San Pedro Monastery
Leaving the Main Square, proceed on-foot to Casa Aliaga. The best-preserved Colonial mansion in the Americas, it has been occupied by the same family since 1535. Next, continue to Casona San Marcos, the house that hosts San Marcos University, founded in 1551. The first university in America and alma mater of many America's finest intellectuals and politicians, Casona San Marcos is the cultural centre of San Marcos University. At the conclusion of your tour, re-board your coach and commence the approximately one-hour drive to the airport for your flight home.
