Swoop over the mountains, vineyards and villages of the Pyrénées-Orientales. Learn about the history of the legendary Cathar Castles from your pilot's live commentary and enjoy magnificent views of Quéribus Castle, one of the "Five Sons of Carcassonne" five castles strategically placed to defend the French border again the Spanish, until the border was moved in 1659.  Peyrepertuse Fortress, located on a limestone ridge at an approximate altitude of 800m. A strategic position which enables one at the same time to see far into the valleys that circle it, to control the mountain passes, or to send communications signals to Quéribus Castle a little further south. Côte du Roussillon and Notre Dame de Penes which was founded in the 14^th century. After the tour you have the option to be dropped in town to make your way back to the ship at leisure.

Please note: This tour involves a minimal amount of walking, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and board/de-board the helicopter. This tour is suitable for guests with limited mobility but is not wheelchair-accessible, and not recommended for guests prone to motion sickness, guests prone to airsickness and guests who are unable to board without assistance. Operation of this tour is subject to weather conditions, as are visibility, views and the route chosen. Although the weather is typically quite nice and flight dispatch rate accordingly high at this time of year, flights may be cancelled on short notice if prevailing weather conditions are deemed to be unsafe. Guests should be aware that there are weight restrictions, with a maximum weight limit of 120 kg/264 pounds per guest for the helicopter. Seating is based on weight distribution and is assigned at the sole discretion of the helicopter facility. Please note that not all guests are seated next to a window, but all participants enjoys a good view nonetheless. The total flight time is approximately 35 minutes.  For security purposes, no bags and tablets are allowed on the flight; they may be left at a storage area at the heliport. Space on this tour is extremely limited; we suggest you book well in advance to avoid disappointment. Minimun age to partecipate is 8 years. Guests are required to bring their passport or a valid ID with them for this tour.
