Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 30-minute ride to Camboriu, a major beach resort city in the Brazilian southern state of Santa Catarina. The city, with its steep hills dropping down to the sea, is popular amongst South Americans and famous for its unique cable car, which links the city's central beach and beach of Laranjeiras. The drop-off point for your leisurely visit is at the Ilha da Medeira Hotel, located on Avenida Brasil, one of the most famous and lively avenues in the city. Upon arrival, begin your self-guided visit.

Bustling Avenida Brasil is lined with shops and restaurants. You may opt to browse the shops for souvenirs, and/or dine at your own expense. Since Avenida Brasil is just one block from the beach, you may opt to take a stroll here and swim in the ocean, or simply relax and sunbathe on the inviting, white-sand beach. At the conclusion of your visit, return to the Ilha de Medeira Hotel and re-board your awaiting coach, then commence the approximately 30-minute drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking, at times over uneven and sandy surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach. Walking at Avenida Brasil is at the discretion of each guest. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear a swimsuit under a cover-up with beach or water shoes, and bring sun protection, a towel, bottled water and change of clothing from the ship. Beach facilities (chairs umbrellas, restrooms) may not be up to the standards of those found on other excursions. Operation of this tour is subject to weather conditions.
