Excursion Caiman alligator spotting at night tour at Manaus

Cross the Rio Negro by double-decker riverboat to arrive at Lake Janauary. Board canoes with outboard motor and drive through the dark and exiting jungle. At night is when the jungle gets alive. Watch the game of shadows and listen to the mysterious sounds.

Your guide will watch for alligators and as he localizes one armed only with a flashlight, he tries to catch it. You will have the opportunity to see up close and take some pictures before being released in their natural habitat. As these are wild animals of the nature, we cannot guarantee their capture.

Please note: A 60-minute boat cruise to/from Lake January, a minimal amount of easy walking and few steps to negotiate to get on/off the local boat and canoes. Light clothing and comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Although frequently encountered on this type of tour, caiman alligator sightings are not guaranteed. Guests are requested not to wear red clothing, smoke, or bring food, and to avoid making loud noises or sudden movements during this tour.
