Cruise line: SilverseaDifficulty:
Discover an unforgettable street art tour of Bushwick, an up-and-coming neighborhood in northern Brooklyn. From the pier in Manhattan, depart across the East River to the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn. Here meet your local street artist and embark on a walking tour of the area. The massive warehouses that line the streets of this neighborhood provide a perfect canvas for this diverse array of vibrant masterpieces, including works by Ramiro, Iena Cruz, Nepo, Don Rimx, Dasic and more. Your guide has an intimate knowledge of the street art and graffiti world and will even show you some of their own art during the walk.
Next, pause for a refreshment before arriving to the studio for a workshop of personalized instruction in the art of graffiti. Create your own art project with the help of local "tagger." Learn the tips and techniques of aerosol art, from fill-ins, to masterpieces. This live spray paint workshop includes spray paint, spray caps, gloves and masks. Leave this workshop with a greater understanding of this still misunderstood craft and a completed canvas of approximately 4 feet by 4 feet and, once dry, can be folded up and taken back onboard with you.
