Experience the splendid beauty, landmarks and history of Boka Bay during this delightful, half-day excursion via land and sea.

Perast

Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 30-minute drive to the small town of Perast, located approximately 7.4 miles (about 12 kilometres) west of Kotor. Perast is the best-preserved Baroque town in the Adriatic, Perast features a host of beautiful, 17th- and 18th-century buildings, including the palaces of famous naval captains.

Boka Bay and Our Lady of the Rocks Church

Upon arrival, embark a local boat for the ride across Boka Bay to the island of Our Lady of the Rocks. Built in 1630, it is one of the most beautiful churches in Montenegro. During a guided tour of the Our Lady of the Rocks Church and its museum, marvel at many interesting exhibits that include an impressive marble altar dating from 1796.

Church of St. Nicola

Next, re-board your boat and ride back to Perast. Upon arrival, an exterior visit is made to the Church of St. Nicola, part of the rich naval tradition in this part of Montenegro. Following your guided tour here, proceed for refreshments on the terrace of an old restaurant overlooking the islands. Afterward, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 30-minute drive back to Kotor. Your tour concludes in the Old Town of Kotor.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 0.6 miles (about one kilometre), at times over cobblestone surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and stairs at the sites visited. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Lightweight, comfortable clothing, flat, closed-toe walking shoes and sun protection are recommended. Proper attire is required to enter the churches; shorts and bare shoulders are not permitted.
