Following your hike, re-board your coach and head to nearby Bled. Together with its surrounds, Bled ranks amongst the most enchanting and beautiful alpine resorts. One of Europe’s most scenic corners, Bled is home to a mild, healing climate, pristine lake with thermal lake water, alpine vistas, the 11th-century Bled Castle, and a tiny island crowned with a charming church belfry. Upon arrival in Bled, proceed to Špica, a nearby lakeside restaurant, for a delicious Slovenian lunch accompanied by exquisite views over Lake Bled.

Pletna-Boat-Cruise to Bled Island, Free Time, Church of St. Mary, Church Belfry

After lunch, embark a canopied pletna boat for a picturesque cruise across the tranquil waters of Lake Bled en route to Bled Island. Upon arrival, some free time is made available to explore your surrounds. Climb the 99 steps to the Church of St. Mary, and, if desired, continue up to the Belfry. According to legend, those who ring the bell twice have their wishes answered. Following your visit to Bled Island, embark your pletna-boat for the scenic ride back to the pletna-boat launch. Upon arrival, disembark your boat, re-board your coach, and commence the approximately 2.25-hour drive back to the pier, with a comfort stop en route.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 0.93 miles (about 1.5 kilometres), at times over uneven, cobblestone, slippery, and natural surfaces and inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and embark/disembark the pletna boat, and many steps at the sites visited. Walking on Bled Island is at the discretion of each guest. This tour is not suitable for guests prone to motion sickness, guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe, and non-slip walking shoes, and bring sun protection, a sweater or light jacket, bottled water, and Euros or credit cards for purchases from the ship. Guests must be at least 18 years old to be served alcoholic beverages. Additional food and drinks are available during lunch at each guest’s own expense.
