Depart the pier for the short drive to Labaie and a visit to the Fromagerie Boivin, a renowned dairy producing approximately five-million pounds (about 2.3-million kilos) of cheese annually. Upon arrival, visit the Interpretation Centre and learn about the history of the dairy during a tasting of cheese samples. Following your cheese tastings, you can browse the cheeses and cheese-infused items for sale.

Chicoutimi, Jonquière, Saguenay River, Little White House, Pulp Mill, Rio Tino Aluminum Factory

Next, re-board your coach and drive through Chicoutimi to Jonquière. Along the way, take in exquisite views overlooking the Saguenay River. See the Little White House that miraculously survived the Flood of 1996 and the Pulp Mill. Founded in 1898, the mill played an important role in the development of the area. Also noted as the first French Canadian-owned pulp company, the mill produced a high-quality pulp that was exported throughout the world. Other notable sights to be seen during your drive include the Rio Tinto Aluminum Factory in Jonquière.

Your final stop is at the Domaine Le Cageot for an unforgettable, blueberry-infused experience. Upon arrival, learn all about the history of blueberries in Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean whilst enjoying a delicious blueberry pastry accompanied by a cup of blueberry tea. Afterward, proceed for a tasting of wines made from blueberries and other little fruits. In addition, you can browse other artisanal berry products on display, including wine, vinegar dressing, jam, jelly, syrup, honey, chocolate, and more. At the conclusion of your tour, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 45-minute drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves a minimal amount of walking for approximately 109 yards (about 100 metres), at times over uneven surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and 15 steps to access the tasting area at the Fromagerie Boivin.This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes, and bring sun protection, a sweater or light jacket, bottled water, and Canadian Dollars or credit cards for purchases from the ship.  Guests must be at least 18 years old to participate in tastings of alcoholic beverages. The tour sequence may vary. The tour might operate on a Yellow School Bus depending on availability of the coaches.
