Depart the pier for a short, approximately 15-minute drive to Ohama Seaside Park. Upon arrival, enjoy a relaxing photo stop at this picturesque coastal setting. Amami Wildlife Conservation Center

Re-board your coach and continue with an approximately 25-minute drive inland to the Amami Wildlife Conservation Center. This important facility focuses on protecting the island’s rare and endangered species. During your visit, explore educational displays and exhibits that highlight Amami Oshima’s delicate ecosystem and ongoing conservation programs. Amami Rabbit Museum Quru Guru

A short walk brings you to the Amami Rabbit Museum Quru Guru, where you will be exploring exhibits dedicated to the island’s most famous resident, the Amami rabbit. Often referred to as a “living fossil,” this rare nocturnal species has inhabited the island for millions of years. Through interactive displays, informative presentations and research exhibits, gain insight into the rabbit’s behaviour, habitat and the scientific work dedicated to ensuring its survival. During your visit, time is also available to browse local souvenirs.

Following your visit, re-board your coach and relax during the approximately 30-minute drive back to the pier.

Please Note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 0.62 miles (about one kilometre), over mostly flat surfaces with several steps to negotiate at the venues visited.
