The tour begins with a coach journey of about an hour and a half to reach Florence, cradle of the Renaissance and the Italian language. Piazza Santa Croce, dominated by the splendid Basilica, will be the starting point of a pleasant guided walk passing through some symbolic places of Florence: Piazza della Signoria, the Duomo, the Gucci Museum. And as you proceed along the itinerary, the guide will tell you anecdotes about Sophia Loren's love for Florence and Gucci fashion. You will pass through Piazza della Signoria, where, in 2021, the mayor of Florence gave the actress the keys to the city in the courtyard of Palazzo Vecchio. You will admire the Neptune fountain and the Loggia dei Lanzi, a true open-air museum before reaching the Cathedral. A short stop is an opportunity to take splendid photos outside one of the largest cathedrals in Europe with Giotto's bell tower attached. The walk culminates with a visit to the Gucci Museum, a testament to timeless style and innovation. The guide will tell you about the diva's passion for Gucci fashion among the museum's treasures, completing a journey that celebrates the cultural richness of Florence and Loren's lasting legacy. And after this walk, you will stop for a lunch break to savor the delights of Italian cuisine at the Sophia Loren restaurant which is inspired by the glamor and elegance of the Italian diva. The restaurant is the perfect place to discover not only Sophia Loren's love for cooking but also to enjoy a lunch with a menu based on an appetizer of typical Italian products and 4 different tastings of pizza. Finally, an hour and a half of free time in Piazza Santa Croce will give you the opportunity to explore the surroundings or make some purchases in the shops overlooking the square. At the appointed time, you will meet the coach to return to the port and the ship.
