Summerland Peninsula and The Nobbies

Depart the pier for a scenic, panoramic drive along the southwestern coast of Phillip Island to the Summerland Peninsula. Here you will encounter The Nobbies, two striking rocky outcrops that rise from the Southern Ocean. Look out to Seal Rocks, home to one of Australia’s largest fur seal colonies, and Summerland Beach, site of the famous nightly penguin parade.

National Vietnam Veterans Museum

Continue to the National Vietnam Veterans Museum, where you can explore an extensive collection of aircraft, vehicles, and other artifacts representing Australian military service from 1962 to 1975. The museum was founded by Vietnam veterans to support fellow servicemen and women and offers a moving holographic sound-and-light show that immerses visitors in the history and significance of Australian involvement in the Vietnam conflict.

Conclude your tour at Cape Woolamai, the island’s highest point, renowned for its dramatic pink granite cliffs and sweeping golden beaches. A short stroll from the parking area to the viewpoint allows for outstanding panoramic photographs.
