Important Details
• For Komodo trekking: This tour requires strenuous walking with approx. 1-1,5 miles (1,5-2 km) over uneven natural terrain, some steep steps without handrail on the pier side and can be slippery in wet condition. The trails traverse a variety of natural surfaces including compacted earth, loose gravel, exposed tree roots, and areas of uneven rocky ground. Some sections pass through open savannahs with dry grass, while others enter shaded forest with naturally undulating ground. The ground may be muddy during the monsoon season.
• This tour is entirely not suitable for standard or full-time wheelchair users, motorized scooters, and guests with severe walking or balance difficulties. Participants should be physically fit and capable of walking unaided.
• Minimum age: 5 years, Children must be accompanied by parent or a responsible adult at all times. Maximum age: Guests above 65 ages are required to be in good physical condition and have sufficient stamina to walk through the forest during the tour activities on Komodo Island. For safety and comfort reasons, participants should ensure they are fit and healthy before joining the tour.
• Guests with open wounds or women on their menstrual cycle should not participate, due to the Komodo Dragon’s strong sense of smell. Red clothing must be avoided. Dragons are wild, fast, and unpredictable—always stay with your group and follow ranger instructions closely. Do not approach or provoke the dragons under any circumstances.
• For Pink Beach: Guests should be physically fit and able to board and disembark the boat independently, either via a small ladder or by stepping directly onto the beach, subject to local landing conditions. Snorkeling equipment including vest, snorkel, and fins is provided. Pink Beach is a naturally preserved beach with minimal development. There are NO visitor facilities available, including sunbeds, umbrellas, restaurants, or restroom facilities.
